A family interview with Kokum

I was listening to Minnesota Public Radio and they had a piece on Alzheimers. One part that struck a chord with me was a project called Storycorps. http://www.storycorps.net/initiatives/mli . Adrienne had talked of doing this with Mom in the past. They even have a sample list of questions. http://www.storycorps.net/initiatives/mli/question-list . Maybe this is something we could do as a family? I think it would be good for all of us to get together for a weekend or something and visit with mom.

Here is the original NPR website ... http://speakingoffaith.publicradio.org/programs/2009/alzheimers/

I went to go watch the Bison play in the NCAA tournament in Minneapolis this past Friday. I get a call from the State Street Gang to hang with them and the rest is history...

Every year, Fitgers has Bockfest. German celebration of 'opening the bock'. Here you see them putting a hot 'poker' in the bock beer, which carmelizes the malt and makes the beer hot and sweet.
